Out of all of the themed bars in Las Vegas, speakeasies are without a doubt the most popular.  All of these places offer a unique and memorable experience that include finding the secret entrances, hidden rooms, and enjoying some prohibition-era cocktails.

The speakeasies on this list offer a mix of unique experiences, from hidden bars within hotels and restaurants to secret bars in hidden basements. All of these places promise great fun and entertainment, perfect for a night out in Vegas.

Note: Reservations are recommended, and at some places are required. Although we will try to give the most updated information, we advise checking the sites directly for availability and recommendations on arrival.

1. The Laundry Room

The Laundry Room is one of the most exclusive speakeasies on our list. Hidden in the popular Commonwealth bar, this speakeasy gives you a cozy, tech-free experience that cannot be missed out on.

When you let the staff know you’re there for the speakeasy, you are transported back to the 1920’s and given the rules, which include no technology or pictures, speaking low, and of course, enjoying yourself. We won’t spoil too much, but with delicious drinks, unlimited flavored popcorn, and a beautiful ambience, this speakeasy is absolutely worth visiting on your trip. Reservations are required and often fill up weeks in advance.

2. Ghost Donkey

Located in The Cosmopolitan, Ghost Donkey is a wonderful speakeasy that specializes in tequila and mezcal cocktails. You’ll find this speakeasy hidden somewhere in the food court behind a decorated door, and once you’re there, you won’t want to leave.

While we won’t spoil the ambience, you’re in for plenty of delectable drinks like the Lavender Vida Loca, which includes mezcal, rose and grapefruit vodka, and lavender and lime, or a flight of three one ounce pours of your choice. Ghost Donkey also has a small selection of snacks to enjoy. As of the time of writing, you do not need reservations, but we recommend arriving around 4PM when the speakeasy opens.

3. 1923 Prohibition Bar

1923 Prohibition Bar is located in Mandalay Bay and offers a step back into the roaring twenties.  The bar features classic cocktails, as well as a variety of small bites. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, and the music selection is perfect for a night out on the town.

While this is easier to find than some of our other choices as it’s connected to Minus 5 Ice Bar, the ambience and drinks are absolutely worth a visit in themselves. Drinks include options like the campfire old-fashioned with smoked bourbon, chocolate bitters, and marshmallow, and the Killer Bees Knees, which includes honey liqueur, gin, and Ancho Reyes Chili. Reservations are available for VIP tables during special nights, but otherwise it is first-come first-served. Like Ghost Donkey, we recommend arriving close to opening at 4PM.

4. The Underground

The Underground is one of the most fun options on the list, as it’s located directly under the Mob Museum! With 1920’s decor all around and employees that make the experience next level, you will want to spend the whole night here.

In addition to the speakeasy, there is also a distillery with tours available where you can learn about the history of bootleggers and the prohibition. This tour is a wonderful look back at the history of speakeasies which gives the experience a spot on our list. Entrance to the speakeasy is automatically included with a ticket to the Mob Museum, however you can also get in with a password posted on their website. Tickets for the distillery tour are required and can be found on their website.

5. The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails

Another speakeasy located in the Cosmopolitan, the Barbershop offers an incredibly unique speakeasy experience. The front of the speakeasy is a real working barbershop that offers many different services such as waxes, shaves, and haircuts.

Once you get past the barbershop, you’re welcomed by a cozy speakeasy with great drinks, performances, and even live karaoke on some nights. This is a great place to grab delicious drinks, party, and dance the night away. Reservations are not required

6. The Lock at The Cabinet of Curiosities

One of our personal favorites on the list, The Lock is an incredibly unique speakeasy with an adventure and puzzle to find it. Once you’re in, you’ll experience a whole new world of cocktails, music, and entertainment. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere is like no other. The Lock can be found hidden in The Cabinet of Curiosities at the Horseshoe.

The Lock has a variety of special drinks that include the festival of lights, containing bourbon, vermouth, orangecello, lime juice, and honey, or the asteroid inspired by the Dino Safari attraction with mezcal, aperitivo, chartreuse liqueur, and lime juice. Reservations are highly recommended as this is one of the most popular speakeasies.

7. Datamosh at OmegaMart

Located in OmegaMart, Datamosh is another more unique choice on our list. If you head to the pharmacy area of the eclectic grocery store, you’ll find Datamosh tucked away waiting for you. OmegaMart has taken a unique twist on many beloved cocktails.

If you’ve seen the rest of OmegaMart, you’ll know exactly what to expect at Datamosh, the decor and light make you feel like you’ve traveled to another dimension. And that ambience transfers over to the drinks like The Source with rosemary bubble smoke, or the old fashioned spray, topped with a spritz from their old fashioned spray bottle. Reservations are not required and entrance is included with your ticket.

8. The Count Room

Located in the Flamingo, The Count Room is reminiscent of a classic speakeasy. The drinks are all inspired by the classic cocktails of the past, with a modern spin. The atmosphere is sultry and intimate, perfect for a romantic night out. To find The Count Room, you need to look for a green door in the food court.

The Count Room also has a variety of snacks like coconut shrimp, wagyu sliders, and delicious Oysters Rockefeller. We recommend stopping by here every visit, as the drink menu is always changing and adding new incredible drinks. Reservations are not required here.

9. Easy’s Cocktail Lounge

Located in a donut shop at the Aria food court, Proper Eats Food Hall, this cocktail lounge brings a new and innovative style to a traditional speakeasy. The ambience is incredibly cozy with plenty of small tables for you and your group.

While the ambience is incredible, the drinks are really what take the speakeasy to a whole new level,  with the Heart of The Ocean, served in a seashell and topped with a black sea salt foam, or the Shroomin, which is served in whimsical mushroom glasses and rimmed with dried herb sugar. Reservations are not required, but if you have a group, we recommend booking a table on their website.

10. Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den

Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den is a stunning speakeasy located in Resorts World. The speakeasy is located behind a hidden bookshelf at Fuhu Cha Chaan Teng, and once you enter you’re greeted by absolutely stunning decor all around that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a Japanese night market.

The drinks match the ambience, as all of their cocktails are asian-inspired, like the Dirty Little Secret with vodka, sake, cucumber shrub, and sesame oil, or the Roku Mariposa with butterfly pea tea, lime, and rose aperitif. Reservations are not required but we recommend arriving around 5PM when they open.
