Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps and there is always something new to see and do. The city is constantly evolving with updated hotels, casinos, and attractions. As the city continues to grow, so does the list of new hotels in Las Vegas. 

Below, we’re going to cover some of the newest resorts, as well as give you a glimpse of some of the planned developments and renovations Las Vegas will see in the years to come.

1. Fontainebleau 

Starting off with one of the newest properties, Fontainebleau is a luxury hotel and casino located right near the Las Vegas Convention Center. With 3,644 rooms that feature stunning views and floor to ceiling windows, as well as luxurious amenities and outstanding service, this hotel is sure to provide an unforgettable experience.

Fontainebleau is also the height of new cuisine on the strip, featuring 36 different restaurants ranging across a variety of cuisines. These restaurants vary from upscale dining experiences like ITO, as well as walk ups in the Promenade food hall.

Fontainebleau also has an expansive six acre pool deck. The pool features full-service cabanas and private bungalows, as well as a variety of pools, the LIV beach section featuring DJs like Calvin Harris, and a legacy pool for VIP guests.

2. Durango

As the first hotel in Stations Casinos new era of properties in Las Vegas, Durango provides a luxurious retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the strip, while also being just a short drive away from many popular attractions. Guests can enjoy a variety of amenities, including an absolutely stunning pool area called the Bel-Aire Backyard. 

The casino at Durango also boasts an 83,000 square foot floor space with over 2300 slot machines, a sportsbook with top-of-the-line surround sound, as well as an array of table games that are sure to excite many who visit.

3. Horseshoe

Formerly known as Ballys, Horseshoe has gone under a complete renovation and now offers a new and innovative experience. With completely reimagined rooms, 70,000 square feet of casino space, and a constantly growing list of restaurants to enjoy, Horseshoe is the perfect place for travelers looking for an exciting getaway.

Horseshoe offers a wide selection of entertainment options, such as mind reading and comedy shows. It is also home to the World Series of Poker. There are plenty of attractions in the hotel, like their enormous arcade, twilight zone by monster mini golf, and various exhibitions.

4. SAHARA

One of Las Vegas’ most iconic hotels, SAHARA, recently underwent a complete renovation and transformation, including its return to its original name from SLS. With modern and stylish decor, SAHARA now offers a luxurious and contemporary experience. The 1,613 renovated guest rooms are spacious and modern, and offer the best place to unwind at the end of the night. 

One true highlight of the resort is the Amina Spa. There are a variety of spa treatments available, including facials, massages, body wraps, and pedicures. A visit to the Amina Spa is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate during your stay at the Sahara.

5. Resorts World

Perhaps one of the most innovative resorts on the strip in recent years, Resorts World offers a completely dynamic experience that can’t be found anywhere else. Boasting three different resorts under one roof, you’re certain to find a room to fit your needs. Beyond the rooms, Resorts World offers a variety of amenities, including a spa, a casino, multiple restaurants, and a variety of entertainment options.

Resorts World is also conveniently located within walking distance of a variety of attractions, such as the Fashion Show Mall, Convention Center and the Circus Circus Adventuredome, making it the perfect destination for those looking for an exciting vacation.

And if you’re looking for some retail therapy on your trip, you’re in luck! The District at Resorts World is a two level, 70,000 square foot shopping center with plenty of boutique options so you can get a unique reminder of your stay.

6. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas

Located at the previous site of the Hard Rock Hotel, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas blends style with comfort seamlessly. The hotel features luxurious accommodations, a casino, and a variety of dining options. Virgin Hotels also offers top of the line entertainment, showcasing three different venues located on the property including a 13,000 sq. foot lawn. 

Kassi Beach House

The hotel offers a wide selection of restaurants, including Kassi Beach House that serves delicious coastal Italian cuisine and Nobu, one of the world’s most renowned sushi restaurants that offers some of the best quality fish you will find in Las Vegas.

7. Circa

Located near the Fremont Street Experience, Circa is the first 21+ casino and resort in downtown Las Vegas. The resort features a two level casino, rooftop pool, and phenomenal dining options. There are 777 rooms in the resort and all of them are decorated with mid-century modern decor. Room features include walk-in marble showers that are absolutely stunning. 

Circa has the world’s largest sportsbook, making it an ideal choice for sports betting fans. The venue has massive high-definition screens that let you see just about everything happening in the sports betting world.

Vegas has some of the best pools in the world and Circa definitely delivers with six different pools located on three levels. Their Stadium Swim offers a 40 ft high-definition video screen for sports and entertainment watching while you enjoy the pool area.

One of the shining features of the hotel is the Legacy Club rooftop bar. This bar offers stunning panoramic views of the city, and high class cocktails that are sure to delight any palate. Legacy Club also features a variety of events with themed drinks to match!

8. Park MGM

After being known as the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino for many years, Park MGM underwent a major renovation to transform itself into a stylish destination. The hotel offers beautifully designed rooms, a vibrant casino, a variety of dining options, and their Dolby Live theater that showcases many residencies. One major thing that sets Park MGM apart is its status as the only non-smoking casino on the strip. 

A unique highlight of Park MGM is its partnership with Eataly, a popular Italian marketplace and dining experience. Guests can indulge in a variety of authentic Italian cuisine, shop for gourmet ingredients, and even participate in cooking classes to learn the secrets of authentic Italian cooking.

Future Hotel Openings

Now that we’ve taken a look at the most recent openings in the past few years, let’s explore some of the confirmed properties coming to Las Vegas and what to expect. 

Hard Rock

Hard Rock Hotel – Hollywood, FL

Perhaps one of the most anticipated renovations on the strip is the Hard Rock Hotel. Hard Rock plans to completely renovate what is currently known as The Mirage. Hard Rock is planning to build a tower for hotel rooms shaped like their iconic guitar, as well as expanding their casino and retail space. 

The Hard Rock renovation is planned to be completed in either 2027 or 2028. 

Inspirada Station

Inspirada Station is the next hotel on Station Casinos plans for a new era of hotels. While we know little about the resort’s details, Henderson’s city council approved an application for changes, including the purchase of 3.6 acres for the hotel in early March of 2024. 

The resort should begin construction in 2024, with a slated opening date of 2025. 

Rio Remodel 

Rio Las Vegas is getting a much needed renovation in the near future. The facelift of the resort will include updates to the guest rooms, lobby, and many public areas. But one of the highlights of the new renovations is their new programmable LED system, which will make the hotel truly shine with over 100,000 sq ft of immersive visual displays covering the hotel.

Dreamscape, Rio’s parent company, is gradually updating the resort while keeping operations open. The current projected date for renovations being completed is spring of 2025.  

Moon Resort

Moon is one of the most ambitious resorts in Las Vegas history. This resort will be 735 feet tall and constructed to look like the moon, with over 125,000 square feet of entertainment space, 4,00 hotel rooms, and plans for an active lunar colony complete with NASA-developed technology. 

There have been no permits filed yet, but currently the construction is expected to break ground in 2024 and be ready for guests by 2028.
