Las Vegas Restaurants featured on Last Meals

Lately, I’ve really been deeply enjoying the “Last Meals” series on Mystical Kitchen, where Chef Josh Scherer interviews a celebrity and shows the dishes they would serve at their final meal.
After Macaulay Culkin mentioned The Uni and Black Truffle Shooter at Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas in a recent episode, I did a deep dive to find more Las Vegas dishes mentioned in the series. Join along as I cover Last Meal dishes you can find in Las Vegas

Starting with one of the most recent Las Vegas shout-outs, The Uni and Black Truffle Shooter from Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas is a favorite of Macaulay Culkin. Not only is it a favorite of Culkin’s, it’s a favorite of almost anyone who orders it!
The dish is served in an egg shell and is a luxurious combination of sea urchin, black truffle, and a savory egg custard. You can enjoy it as a shooter itself, or you can use the soldiers it comes with to dip into the eggshell. Either way, this is a dish you won’t forget.

In what might seem surprising, the In-N-Out double double burger is a favorite of both Tom Hanks and Gordon Ramsay. This dish honestly highlights how even celebrities crave some classic fast food options like the rest of us.
While Tom Hanks enjoys the traditional double double, Gordon Ramsay prefers the secret menu “Animal Style” which includes frying the burgers in mustard, caramelized onions as opposed to raw, and extra sauce. One interesting fun fact I learned from this episode is that In-N-Out is part of the inspiration behind Gordon Ramsay Burger

Another In-N-Out item featured is a classic cheeseburger with fries and a milkshake. Damiano shared his love for the dish as a classic American comfort and even went as far to say the meal left him starstruck! There’s a couple different locations across the city, but the one we recommend is the location at The LINQ promenade.

One of the newer options to Las Vegas Valley is Salt & Straw and their ice cream is in my opinion the pinnacle of innovation. The milk for the ice cream is steeped in cereal and has rainbow marshmallows swirled in that is reminiscent of breakfast cereals of childhood. The Oregon chain currently has three locations in Las Vegas, including at Flamingo, Paris Hotel and Casino, and the Uncommons.

Din Tai Fung at Aria is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants on the Strip, so I was excited to see it make an appearance on Last Meals. While Meghan never specifies which of the Xiao Long Bao is her favorite, there’s not a bad option on the menu. If you’ve never had Xiao Long Bao, it’s a a dumpling that is filled with a jellified broth (typically pork or crab broth at Din Tai Fung) so when they’re steamed, it turns back into liquid and makes for an incredibly indulgent bite.

Another dish from Din Tai Fung that has made it onto the Last Meals list is the garlic fried green beans. Although it’s a simplistic dish, Keith praises the dish for its perfectly crispy texture and bold garlic flavor that enhances the freshness of the green beans.

Tony Hawk was first introduced to the Chinese chicken salad from Chin Chin when filming for ‘The Search for Animal Chin’ in the late 80s and has been a loyal fan ever since. The dressing on the salad is especially a standout with bright and vibrant flavors with ginger and toasted sesame oil.

One of the most popular dishes from Carbone is the spicy vodka rigatoni and there’s no question as to why. The creamy vodka sauce has just enough spice to make it incredibly flavorful without being overpowering. If you want to have it exactly like Tom Segura, make sure to get the pasta with extra cheese on top!

The Vanilla Meringue Cake from Cipriani’s at Wynn is beloved by many people, including Marlon Wayans. After a show in Saudi Arabia, he stopped at Cipriani’s, ordered the cake for dessert and praised it as one of his favorite desserts. While I haven’t had the chance to try it, many diners praise its light and fluffy texture that makes for an amazing end to any meal.

While this last meal pick from Keith originated in Chicago, Grand Bazaar Shops in front of Horseshoe has a Giradano’s pizza that allows you to indulge in the classic Chicago deep dish the restaurant is famous for selling.
Nobu is by-far one of the most popular restaurant requests in the history of Last Meals. Which is why it’s getting its own section here. Nobu has three different restaurants across Las Vegas, including Virgin Hotels, Paris Las Vegas, and the Nobu Hotel nestled behind Caesar’s Palace

This dish may perfectly embody Nobu’s background as the restaurant aims to blend Peruvian flavors with classic Japanese styles and techniques. The fusion of both elements in Wagyu Tacos highlights Nobu’s innovative approach, combining tender, high-quality beef with bright and bold flavors. Sean Evans also got to indulge in the exact dish in Nobu, as one of the Mythical Kitchen members actually had worked as a line cook and had this dish memorized

I think Terry Crews truly captured why so many celebrities have Nobu on their last meals list. He shared on his episode that one of his biggest goals when he was rising in fame was to eat at Nobu in New York and now every time he returns he orders what he refers to as his “Nobu Special”
Included in his spread is the rock shrimp tempura with the creamy spicy sauce, the crispy rice with spicy tuna, and the miso roasted black cod.

Perhaps the most requested item on Last Meals is the miso roasted black cod. It makes sense, as this is Nobu’s most popular dish on the menu. It is a dish that combines the rich, buttery texture of black cod with the umami flavor of miso, making for an amazing bite. You can order a full cod filet, but the lettuce wraps are truly amazing.

Nobu’s Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna is one of the restaurant’s most viral dishes. It is known for its perfect balance of textures and flavors, with the crispy rice providing a satisfying crunch that contrasts with the creamy, spicy tuna topping that leaves you wanting more. Both Ciara and Brittany reached for this dish first, which proves just how amazing it is.

One of my absolute favorite dishes on this list (and a favorite of many celebrities) is the jalapeño yellowtail. The dish is typically served sashimi style with a thin slice of jalapeño, cilantro, and a yuzu soy sauce on top. I particularly enjoy this in a handroll style, but any way you have it, it is absolutely delicious.

If you’re anything like me and enjoy a kick to your meals, the spicy seafood soup at Nobu is absolutely perfect. Both Marlon Wayans and the host Josh wiping off sweat after just a few bites, shows just how intense the heat of the dish can be. Despite the spice, the soup’s rich seafood flavor and perfectly balanced ingredients make it a standout choice at Nobu.

Ken Jeong and his wife have been Nobu fans from the beginning. They frequently dined at the Malibu location in the early 2000s before Jeong’s rise to fame. One dish in particular that he and his wife love is the Crispy Shiitake Salad with shiitake mushrooms that are crisp and filled with bacon-like flavor complemented by fresh greens and Nobu’s signature dressing. This dish has become a nostalgic favorite, symbolizing their shared experiences and the restaurant’s consistent quality over the years.
Now that we’ve taken a look at all of the last meals in Las Vegas that celebrities have chosen, I want to share some of my top picks for what my last meal would be. While some of the items above (like the jalapeño yellowtail) would definitely be on my list, I wanted to focus on my favorites that haven’t already been featured above.
One of the choices that immediately made it onto my list is the watermelon and feta salad from Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan. Although this salad is only a seasonal offering at the buffet, it’s one of the best bites of food I’ve ever had. The balsamic reduction offers a wonderful tartness that complements the watermelon beautifully.

Even when you’re a local, getting a chance to go to Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas is a treat. Every time I’ve visited, I choose the beef wellington and there’s a good reason. With a flaky, buttery pastry and perfectly cooked steak, this dish has definitely made it to the top of my last meal list.
Taking a quick trip off of the Strip on Tropicana Ave, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas has always been the first choice for celebrations with my family. The Sopa de Fideo has specifically made its way on my list for its simplicity. The rich tomato broth is an extremely comforting taste to me, which would make it one of my first choices for my last meal.

Matteo’s at The Venetian is a restaurant that has many emotional ties for me, having been the restaurant I went to the night before my wedding. The Casonzei has been a dish we’ve had every time we go. The pasta is filled with pork and veal and has crispy pancetta that is absolutely amazing, but the brown butter sage sauce without a doubt is my favorite part.

The X Pot at The Venetian is the only place on my list where I haven’t eaten myself, but it is truly a bucket list spot for me. I’ve always been incredibly intrigued by the multi-sensory experience the restaurant offers, and the chance to try some of the Japanese A5 Wagyu is what really puts this on my list.

Scaling back to a very simple pick, every time I’m looking for a quick and easy lunch on the Strip, Jaburritos at The LINQ is my go-to spot. Their Redondo burrito is particularly great. With three different types of fish and just the right amount of spice thanks to the wasabi mayo and jalapeño, I could happily eat this dish forever.

Last but not least on the list is the Chicken Yuzu Shio Delight Ramen from Jinya Ramen Bar. Jinya is one of my favorite ramen bars, and every time I visit a city with a location I try to make a point to stop by. The yuzu shio ramen is one of my favorites because of the perfectly clear broth infused with yuzu flavor and the delicious seasoned egg that’s added in. I always love getting mine with extra garlic!
