When Is Memorial Day 2026 & What to Expect

Memorial day this year is on May 25th so you can expect the city to be bustling with activity all weekend. While the Strip will be home to pool parties and nightclubs celebrations, you’ll find plenty of family-friendly things to do just a short drive off of the strip.

Some of the top family-friendly options include outdoor picnics in local parks, visiting museums, and family-friendly shows. For those seeking adventure, nearby hiking trails and water sports on Lake Mead or Lake Las Vegas offer a refreshing escape.

Memorial Day Weekend Weather in Las Vegas

One crucial part of planning any trip to Las Vegas is to know the weather. Late May weather in Las Vegas typically has low temperatures of high-60’s to low-70’s, and high temperatures of mid-80’s to mid-90’s.

With such high temperatures, I recommend packing plenty of cool clothing, sunscreen, and staying hydrated throughout the day. The dry desert heat can be incredibly intense, so planning indoor or activities during peak afternoon hours can help you keep cool. If you want more tips and tricks to staying cool in the city, check out our guide here.
