Location. Location. Location. The Quad is our pick for the best budget hotel on the Strip. The location is ideal. You are literally Center-Strip next door to Caesars Palace and Harrah's, but only have to pay a fraction of the cost. The Quad used to be called Imperial Palace and has a full casino, many restaurants (including a buffet), a large pool, bars/clubs, plus entertainment options, including an auto museum. It will be hard to find a cheaper Strip hotel.
This budget priced hotel is only 2 blocks from the Las Vegas Strip. It is close by MGM Grand and is one of the few hotels to offer free Wi-Fi with no resort fee charges. The rooms are neat and clean. Although there is no restaurant on the site, Cocos is just around the corner and open 24 hours, and of course there are dozens of places to eat on the Strip. There is a pool and the usual room amenities which include a TV, coffee maker, internet and a hair dryer. As one reviewer wrote, "If your on a budget this is a good place to be for the money and the location."
Sam's Town is an 8 miles/15minute drive to the Las Vegas Strip. Because of this you get a bargain price at a good hotel with clean spacious rooms and a lot of nice features. These include on site movie theaters, a 56 lane bowling alley and a fast food court. There is also excellent dining at the hotel's restaurants which include Billy Bob's Steakhouse, T.G.I.F., Willy & Rose's Cantina and a buffet. The rooms have all the standard amenities including cable TV and high speed internet.
Days Inn is less than 1 mile/5 minute drive from the fabulous Las Vegas Strip. There is a western theme to the hotel. Its rooms are orderly and clean, and all have 27 inch TVs, free local calls and complimentary parking. Days Inn has a pool and spa built in a garden setting. For those who enjoy casino action, you will not be disappointed. The casino features blackjack, craps, roulette, slots, video poker and a sports-book.
Dining: There is a 24 hour Denny's on the site, a full service bar and a sports-book lounge.
Super 8 is a well known name and deservedly so. The rooms are clean and budget priced. They include cable TV, free high speed internet, hair dryers, and USA Today newspapers. You can grab a cup of joe to go from their 24-hour coffee station before heading out in the morning. It is about a block away from The Las Vegas Strip and all the many restaurants and casinos. You will also find a heated outdoor pool. If you have any pets, they offer pet-friendly rooms.
Here is a good solid 3 star hotel with 90% favorable reviews. It is located a few steps away from the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. Staying here you are just minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel prides itself on a collection of Victorian antiques including Buffalo Bill's dining car. Even the lobby and restaurants have a Victorian grandeur. There is a large excellent buffet with foods from around the world and a combination microbrewery and restaurant that has a limited but good tasting menu. Standard amenities including TV and hairdryers are to be found in the recently redecorated rooms.
Stay at the Clarion and you can walk to the Las Vegas Strip or the Convention Center. The Fashion Mall is also nearby. Room amenities include a refrigerator, TV with free movies, internet and a hair dryer. Guests enjoy an outdoor pool and spa. Clarion has an on site restaurant and a very pleasant bar/lounge to unwind in. Needless to say you are close by the many dining establishments and casinos the Strip provides. Reviews of this hotel point out that it is well worth the budget price particularly because of its wonderful location.
This excellent hotel is located in Henderson just a short drive (8 miles) from the Las Vegas Strip. If it were on the Strip you could pay 3 or 4 times the rate. Sunset Station is 21 stories on 100 acres. It is home to seven restaurants including a candle lit steakhouse and a great buffet. There are movie theaters, bowling lanes and even a Kid Quest to watch the little ones. The Spanish themed room are spacious and well decorated. Reviews of this hotel show a 90% recommend rating.
This hotel is located 6 miles/15 minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip and 3 miles from downtown. It is a small 100 room establishment but it does have a full casino and four good restaurants. These include a steakhouse, Mexican restaurant, buffet and cafe. There is a night-club with live weekend entertainment along with various lounges. The rooms all have cable TV, high speed internet, clock radios and hair dryers. Parking is free.
Boulder Station is a nice 3 star sixteen story hotel 6 miles/15 minutes from the fabulous Las Vegas Strip. Why not drive a little and save? Rooms have modern decor and come with standard amenities. This includes high speed internet and flat screen cable TVs. The hotel restaurants consist of a seafood and steakhouse broiler, a Mexican restaurant, a good buffet and a 24 hr. cafe. For recreation there is a casino, almost 3000 slots, a game arcade, an 11 screen movie theater, shops and a beauty salon. From time to time the hotel features live entertainment.
