There’s a place in West Las Vegas, just 20 minutes from the Strip, where the suburban landscape suddenly stops and you’re in the desert. All of a sudden you’re surrounded by the most sublime desert mountains that are copper red in color. This spectacular place is called Red Rock Canyon.
There are 19 different hiking trails to choose from, and depending on which one you choose you might see cascading waterfalls in the middle of the desert, wild burros, golden eagles and hummingbirds. The air is fresh and the sunsets are divine in this place.
