Getting Lowest Rates
1.) Make sure there are no conventions, since they can really drive up rates.
You can see convention dates by visiting
this link. Avoid dates with large conventions
having 30,000 or more people.
2.) Go during the week (Sunday-Thursday). Friday/Saturday rates are much higher.
Avoid going on a holiday.
3.) Hot weather means cheaper rates. July and August are hot and will get you
discount hotel rates. Take advantage of cheap rates offered for most of
December. The biggest discounts happen between Christmas and New Years.
4.) Check with us first for lowest hotel rates! We have much lower overhead
than the "big guys" and can afford to give you the cheapest prices. In most
cases we are also cheaper than the hotel websites. Hotel websites don't want to
compete with large online companies, since they risk being removed because of
low sales. Also, don't assume rates are the same when you call a hotel or travel
agency. When you book online rates are often much lower. Someone has to pay
those support agents for their time.
5.) If you need
air and hotel, don't assume a package deal is
always better. The actual benefit depends on many factors, such as the airfare
cost. We suggest getting the best hotel and air rates separately. You can then
compare it to a package rate.
6.) They don't call it Loss Vegas / Lost Vegas for nothing! Make
sure to consider your gambling budget as part of your overall trip cost and make
sure you have a quit limit.

Location is key when staying in Las Vegas and the
Best Value Inn is just across the street from the
MGM Grand. We also like the
Imperial Palace The cost is a little more, but you will be literally next
door to
The Mirage
and Caesars
Palace, so you can spend all your time at four and five star hotels for just
a fraction of the cost.
The
Imperial Palace has an "old-style" Las Vegas charm. The rooms have
been renovated and are very comfortable. The
Stratosphere Tower also makes our list. They are a bit off the strip, but
the price may be low enough to be worth the extra cab fare and they have great
deals and promotions.
Another great budget hotel just a few miles off the strip is the
Orleans
hotel. It is one of the newest hotels in Las Vegas and features great dining
values, luxury rooms, an 18 screen movie theatre, and even has a 70 lane bowling
alley. They have lots of free parking, so it is easy to drive around if you have
a car. Rooms start at $25, but rates can vary a lot based on when you stay. It
is definitely worth checking.
For the money
MGM Grand offers excellent value and is so complete that you may
not even leave the hotel during your entire stay in Las Vegas. You can find some
of the best shows, shopping, and dining all under one roof.
While on the "high-end" side for a budget pick,
Tuscany Suites offers
very stylish rooms on expansive Italian themed grounds that give it great value
for the money. Since the hotel is located a few blocks east off the main strip,
the pricing is very competitive. It is one of the nicest moderately priced
hotels in Vegas.

While Treasure
Island, also called T.I., is not normally associated as being a "budget"
hotel, we feel its overall value for the money and ideal center-strip location
make this a definite pick. It is one of the only 4-star hotels you can find for
under $70/night. The quality of
Treasure Island is easily comparable to
Mirage
or
MGM
Grand.
Our last budget pick is
Circus Circus. It is a great hotel for families with
lots of freebies for kids, like free circus acts. It boasts having the largest
indoor theme park in the country. Centrally located,
Circus Circus is considered by many to offer the best
vacation value on the Las Vegas Strip.
