Question

As a way to help launch our new Vegas Talk forum. We will be giving away a $300 Las Vegas Direct Gift Certificate that can be used towards booking a hotel with us. The lucky winner will be selected on December 31th, 2025. All you need to do to enter is register and post something in any category with content related to Vegas.

I just returned from my 1st Vegas trip.. can't believe I waited so many years to go. I thought it would be scary, but I had so much fun and had some great new experiences, but I didn't get to do nearly as much as I would have like to, as there are  so many things to do in Vegas.
I thought it would be a one and done, but I want to go back!
Hopefully I can win some kind of contest for the incentive to return

My first trip to Las Vegas will not be my last. I arrived in Las Vegas from New York on November 11th, 2024 and left on November 15th 2024. Initially I did not want to go, but my wife really wanted this. A couple  of days went by  before I could get to feel for playing the games an the slots. I enjoyed my stay at the Horseshoe Casino and began to learn my way around.

Finally on the last day before leaving I felt the need to at least try some of the games. I started playing the slots but was not very excited. I decided to sit at the bar and play the blackjack. As I eased into my new atmosphere I began to win a little bit. I took my small winnings and walked around a bit and spotted a table game where there was only 1 person and the dealer. They encouraged me to sit down and play and I would learn as I go. I found out that that game was called "The Ultimate Texas Hold'em". The minimum bet was $5 which worked for me. After losing half my investment, I started to leave the table and cash-in my chips, however I changed my mind and came back to the same table. I began to play again and was able to win while occasionally increasing my bets. I tripled my initial investment and left the table with stuffed pockets. That night prior to leaving Las Vegas I played this game again however the minimum started at $25. I paid for my education and was rewarded greatly. I won enough to pay for my entire trip and then some. Am I going back? Yes and as soon as I win this contest I will be making travel arrangements. Thank you Las Vegas!
