Located on the third floor recreation deck is The Spa at The Las Vegas Hilton where guests can use the fitness equipment, steam and saunas and other accessories for a daily fee. For tennis players, the resort includes six lighted tennis courts.

What to expect: Long a major convention hotel, Hilton Las Vegas now offers destination-resort pleasure for families as well as services and facilities for business travelers. The two casinos, one elegant and the other space-age, exemplify the dual appeal.

Amenity highlights: Next to a heated, year-round pool, a gazebo contains a spa sizable enough to accommodate 18 guests. The 10-acre pool complex includes expansive sundecks, a bar, snack bar, and for-rent cabanas furnished with television, telephone, padded lounges, and refrigerator. Next to the pool complex, a full-service health spa provides a fitness center, steam rooms, saunas, and hot and warm spas with cold-plunge pools. No matter what your favorite table game is, you will find it at the Hilton in Vegas. Dining at The Hilton

Benihana Village - Consisting of a series of country houses around a koi pond, this colorfully lighted dining complex includes a sushi bar, teppanyaki tables, and a robata grill. An elevator whisks diners up to private rooms. Adjacent to the restaurant, a terraced lounge drops down to a water garden.

Hilton Steakhouse - Vividly decorated in Chinese-red, cherry wood, and boldly colored paintings of musicians and casino scenes, this restaurant features prime-grade beef and fresh seafood.

Andiamo - Exhibition kitchen serving Northern Italian cuisine.

Mistral - Gourmet Continental cuisine; International-fusion cooking. Extensive wine list features over 1400 selections from around the world; 8000 bottles in inventory. One of the largest selections of Port, Madeira, and Cognac in the United States. Dinner only. Business casual dress attire required; collared shirts and slacks recommended for gentlemen. No shorts, t-shirts, sandals, or casual sports attire. No children under the age of 5.

The resort also includes a Pizza Hut, a frozen yogurt shop, a sub sandwich shop, and a coffee/pastry shop. Room service is available 24 hours.

Entertainment at The Hilton

Star Trek: The Experience offers a live-motion, virtual-reality trip aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise into deep space. This show is refreshingly different from most other shows in Vegas and will have you on the edge of your seat. Adjacent in the Deep Space Nine Promenade are space-theme shops and Quark's Bar and Restaurant.

Two casinos supply poker, slots, video poker, single-deck blackjack, craps, roulette, pai gow, Caribbean poker, and keno. The elegant, 67,000-square-foot Crystal Casino features striking crystal displays. SpaceQuest Casino is a smaller, "24th century" room featuring futuristic decor and gaming.

Spacious enough to warrant its own parking lot, SuperBook ranks as the world's largest race and sports book.

The hotel offers 2,941 guestrooms and suites in three 31-story towers. A renovation of rooms and suites was recently completed in December 2002.
