Encore Las Vegas
Encore, the new signature resort from Steve
Wynn. Encore complements Wynn Las Vegas'
repertoire of accommodations, culinary offerings
and leisure activities. Indulge in Encore's
casually elegant approach to ambiance. Conceived
as a collection of cosmopolitan neighborhoods,
the resort is designed to fill your stay with
moments of discovery and evoke your sense of
wonder. The signature elements of the Encore
experience include a landscape of foliage,
sunlight, pools of water, candlelight and layers
of richly textured materials. Encore's
accommodations are comprised of 2,034 spacious
suites that offer a cosmopolitan style and
sophistication ensconced in a comfortable,
residential feel. Featuring Resort Suites
spanning 700 square feet and Tower Suites
measuring up to 5,800 square feet, the resort
pampers guests in atmosphere both intimate and
indulgent.
The resort features a 74,000 sq ft casino,
27,000 sq ft of retail space in "The Esplanade",
a spa and salon, five restaurants, seven bars,
as well a nightclub. The building has 63 floors,
making it three floors higher than Wynn Las
Vegas. No detail was overlooked and the hotel
caters to all cultures. For example, though the
building is not actually 63 floors as floors 13,
as well as 40 through 49, were left out: 13 has
traditionally been an unlucky number in various
Western cultures, and various East Asian
cultures are superstitious about the number 4 as
being unlucky for them.
The resort's interior public spaces feature a
combination of Asian influences and whimsical
designs, including strong reds and a butterfly
motif, in its design; the overall theme,
designed by Roger P. Thomas, borrows aspects
from the previously built Wynn Macau in China.
In addition, the hotel continues and expands on
the original Wynn resort's use of big windows,
dense greenery and filtered natural light to
pervade more areas of the casino that had
traditionally been done in Las Vegas. The pool
area includes rentable 29 cabanas.
The casino is smaller and feels more exclusive
and is meant to echo the notion of a casino in
Monaco, The rooms are suites and they’re warm
and cozy and inviting. Passing from one resort
to the other is virtually seamless, making it
easy to shop, dine or attend a show at Wynn
while staying at Encore.
