Property Amenities
Soaring as high as 49 stories, the hotel's 12 towers contain 2,063 rooms. Towers and facade replicate 15 Big Apple landmarks in scaled-down models, including the Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Central Terminal, Soldiers and Sailors Monument, New York Public Library, Empire State Building, Seagram Building, Chrysler Building, and the Statue of Liberty. New York New York's facilities include a 6,800-square-foot health spa containing a fitness center, saunas, steam rooms, a men's spa, and women's hydrotherapy rooms and featuring aromatic "dessert" exfoliations such as peach cobbler, rainbow sherbet, and raspberry truffle.

What to expect:
Fronted by scale-model replicas of the Brooklyn Bridge (300 feet long) and the Statue of Liberty (150 feet high), New York New York presents a scaled-down Manhattan skyline of famous buildings rising in a Western desert. Familiar New York names such as Schrafft's and Nathan's heighten the appeal for young adults who favor this resort.

Amenity highlights:
Open during warm months, a large, heated lagoon pool and surrounding sundeck provide swimming fun and sunning opportunities. Poolside cabanas are furnished with television, telephone, and refrigerator. Three year-round spas secluded in a rock garden offer relaxation opportunities.

Insider tip: From 10 AM to midnight, arrivals at McCarran International Airport can go to the south baggage-claim area, where a check-in facility for all MGM Mirage-owned hotels (New York New York, Bellagio, MGM Grand, The Mirage, Treasure Island, and Golden Nugget) allows guests to check into the hotel and purchase show and events tickets while waiting for luggage. They can also book a shuttle van to the hotel.

Entertainment at New York New York
Zumanity is for mature audiences—guests must be 18 years or older to see the show. The international cast, consisting of 50 eclectic performers and musicians, will reach out to take the audience on a 90-minute encounter, exploring sensuality and celebrating the human form. Created by Cirque du Soleil.

Beginning in the rear of the resort and ending in the casino, Manhattan Express Roller Coaster provides a 3.5-minute ride that reaches 67 miles per hour and attains a height of 144 feet as it winds through the mini-Manhattan skyline.

ESPN Zone is The Strip's largest sports dining and television destination, with some 165 monitors showing ESPN's channels, tiered seating in The Screening Room, interactive games, and a full menu of pub food.

Comedian Rita Rudner brings her subtle humor to the 420-seat Cabaret Theatre. Later at night, the theater presents a scary-funny improv show called Boo!

Big Apple Bar offers live bands nightly in an elegantly hip atmosphere, while Bar at Times Square features dueling pianos and sing-a-longs.

Nine Fine Irishmen - Guests looking for a quiet evening should steer clear of this lively pub. Imported directly from Ireland, the pub at Nine Fine Irishmen offers an authentic beer-slinging, whiskey drinking Irish experience. Gracious service, Irish storytelling, and lively Irish entertainment are complemented by an exceptional variety of traditional Irish stouts, lagers, creamy ales, and premium Irish sprits.

Styled after its New York City namesake, the wood-floor, biker/cowboy bar Coyote Ugly offers raucous fun: performing bartenders, women dancing on the bar, and free shots for folks shedding neckties and underclothing.

Coney Island Emporium provides 28,000 square feet of carnival and video games, including bumper cars and Daytona-style simulated racing.
