Mandarin Oriental Hotel

What do you give a visitor to Las Vegas who has
everything? Answer:
Reservations for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
The
unique, upscale, oriental style of this
hotel creates something of rare, but useful
beauty. The hotel is located in the heart of the
CityCenter.
It is just steps
away from the lights and glamour of the Las
Vegas Strip. A foot
bridge connections the hotel to Crystals, a
high-end mall and
entertainment center. It is a
non-smoking and non-gaming hotel.
There are 392 rooms and suites in the hotel. The
suites range in size
from 850 to 3,100 square feet. The rooms as well
as the suites are spacious and well
decorated. They all have spacious walk in
closets with privacy
valets. A privacy valet allows for packages to
be delivered to the room without having to open
the door. All rooms offer 42 inch
televisions and wireless internet.
Additionally, there are smaller
televisions in the spa like baths. The
rooms or suites will give you
magnificent views of either the
mountains, the Las Vegas Strip or the
CityCenter.
You will find various restaurants in the hotel
including a tea lounge
and a bistro that
serves all day long. There is a well equipped
spa and wellness
center. This includes a fitness center. There
are 4 pools.
There is no casino or theatrical auditorium in
the hotel, but all you
have to do is step
outside your “front door” and you will find the
best gambling and
shows in the world. However, the hotel does have
an extremely well
equipped business center and meeting facilities.

view of the city. There is a dining area,
pantry, study, separate lounge and a guest

along with its high-end furnishings create an
Asian elegance that is both pleasing and
functional. The suite has all of the bells,
whistles and other niceties you would expect.
Even so, the spa like bath with its extravagant
design goes far beyond expectations.
Dynasty Suite:

Without any doubt, this suite was designed for
entertaining. The suite is located between the

and good conversation. Within the suite are a
kitchen and a separate guest powder room. The
bedroom with its king size bed also has a
sitting and work area. The décor throughout the
entire suite is what I would call functional
Asian elegance. There are all the electronic
bells and whistles you would hope for.

This suite is so named because it is located on
the apex of the building. This allows for a 270
degree panoramic view. It is located between the

Premier Room for traveling parties. Because of
the great amount of space

This is sometimes called the black and white
suite because of the
dramatic use of these two colors. In reality it

Hotel. It is their largest 1 bedroom suite. The
suite is equipped with a

would ever want.
Mandarin Suite:

Located on the 22nd floor this 3,100 square foot
suite offers two
bedroom accommodations. There is one bedroom
with a king size bed and
the other bedroom with two double beds. The
suite is a unique blend of
luxurious art deco and a sense of oriental
serenity. Even the master
bedroom has a warm sensual quality. You will
find a beautiful spa like
bath associated with this bedroom that also has
a fitness center. The
second bedroom has its own spa like bath. This
suite has a private
dining room, bar, study and workable office
space.
Dining
Twist:

On the 23rd floor is an island devoted to the
magic of food. The
restaurant specializes in fusion cuisine. This
is another way of saying
the mixture of two cultures or flavors. The
result is often a third that
is neither one of the first two, but unique and
delicious on its own.
This is the first American restaurant by the
fusion pioneer Pierre
Gagnaire. Much of the menu is devoted to classic
French cuisine and its
variations. The décor of the restaurant seems to
add to the tastiness of
the food. This includes platform tables for a
better view, to the very
contemporary suspended wine rack.
Mandarin Bar:

Imagine being in a glitzy bar with three walls
of floor to ceiling
windows looking at both the night sky and the
city’s twinkling lights.
Custom cocktails, excellent service and a great
view, this is what the
Mandarin Bar is all about. If you wish, you can
reserve a private room
located within the bar.
Amore Patisserie:

This restaurant is located right on Las Vegas
Boulevard. It specializes
in pastries, cakes, deli sandwiches on home made
bread, various teas and
coffees. You will also find hand made chocolates
and gelato. There is a
good selection of juices. Even though the
ambiance tends to be informal
the service is excellent.
MOzen Bistro:

This is a very contemporary looking restaurant
with good traditional
food. It has a kitchen theater. This means you
can watch the chefs try
and entertain you as they prepare the food.
There is a sushi bar, a
noodle bar, rotisserie and grill. Authentic
pan-Asian food is served
along with American favorites. The décor of the
restaurant includes both
comfortable leather seating and spectacular
steel and glass chandeliers.
It is open until 10:30 pm.
Tea Lounge:

Authentic tea ceremonies, a collection of the
finest of teas and leaves
coupled with sincere, accomplished and calming
service all go to create
a Zen like atmosphere. Just stepping inside
seems to have a quieting
effect on the soul. Aside from the best of
oriental teas English tea and
cake can be ordered. The lounge menu also
contains many palate pleasing
delicacies.
Poolside Café:

Their motto is, “A clink of ice and a splash of
water”. This wonderful
café serves market fresh food all day long. They
have a variety of
cuisines, exotic fruits and chilled juices.
Yogurt with granola leads
their breakfast menu. Through out the day you
will find lightly steamed
dim sum and deli food. Needless to say, they
also have iced drinks and
frizzy cocktails.
Spa

The spa at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is
unique. It not only offers the
typical relaxation services found in most
up-scale spas but offers a
wide range of therapeutic treatments. Many of
these treatments are based
upon hundreds of years of experience. The spa is
on two floors. It has
27,000 square feet of space. It was designed to
resemble the luxurious
spas found in Shanghai in the 1930’s. In it you
can certainly wash away
the cares of the day. You will find that its
treatment benefits extend
far beyond the time you spend at the spa.
There are 17 treatment rooms and 7 couple
suites. You will find a
Chinese Foot Spa, Relaxation Lounges, Steam
Rooms, Experience Shower,
Hammam Room, Vitality Spa, Laconium, Ice
Fountain, Ladies Rhassoul and a
Men’s Sauna.

and facials. There is

activity is available,
where small groups of friends may gather for a
pedicure or a Chinese
foot ritual. The spa has a boutique where you
may purchase scents,
sounds and music, oils and lotions to take home.

area. One of the best
is the closest. It is the Bali High Golf Club.

a business address to be proud of. Aside from

Olufsen sound systems. These features, combined

They are met in the lobby with a suitable toy.
