Good to know. I do want to run into you one day. Maybe a coffee or dinner would be nice. Thanks for the heads up on your next appearances.

This is the generic update for my fall trip. I will be in southern Nevada from September 16-28th. This trip will take me to the following areas to play craps:
Mesquite, Las Vegas, and Laughlin(by special request) When I have some better information I will update this thread.

Aha now I understand why you're not responding to my messages. I will be there for the weekend (at least Sat. & Sun.) when K. Rogers is at the old Flamingo Laughlin or whatever it's named now. I will rent a car I guess.

Question Re: Thought it was time to put in some info

In an attempt to put substance back in this thread my next Las Vegas venture will be solo in December 2006. I am booked at Harrahs mid strip already but also have two free offers from The Golden Nugget and Fitzgeralds downtown. Harrahs is charging me $30.00.night for the 2 weekend hotel nights and comping the other four nights. The other two hotels are requesting no $$$$ at all for the room plus some other benefits. My thoughts because of the NFR being in town is to stay mid strip. Anyone else with a different suggestion post your thoughts.

more notes:

Saving a few bucks is not a consideration but having a great experience is. Now having eaten at Ellis Island that also is a reason to be mid strip so I can return for my food one night.... as is the fun of Toby Keith's restaurant at Harrahs' and Casino Royale's 100X craps table next door. Thats all the details I can think to post now. Anyone speak up and let me know what you would do.

My youngest (the 27 year old) is fascinated by you and your gaming. Is it possible you could put her under your wing in December during the NFR?

L/L unfortunately NO I can't but saying that maybe something can be arranged with another younger person who travels with her dad for the NFR. I will check. I am back on my Alberta ranch now but still settling in this week.

Well it is one month B 4 I return to las Vegas for the NFR and I am itching to go. Since my last trip I have revamped most everything I do at the craps table. I know what works on the practise table but what will happen at the casino. How will the different casinos handle my new betting schemes?

As always, I will record what happens and report back to this site afterwards.

I am free to go now but I want to go alone (for my NFR break) I do not have a responsible caregiver for my daughter until after December 6th. My plane is booked for the 7th and returns on the 14th to Calgary. My other information (above on this post) will have me staying at one of the Harrahs hotels on the strip. First night down I will be at Ellis island for the steak and then somewhere downtown where the stock contractors are lurking. (this is also where I expect to find some "buckle bunnies"

I'm BACK!!!!!!

To say I am rested would be a lie. The last night I was in Las Vegas a 10" water pipe burst on the 35th floor. I was on the 23rd floor but water runs down RIGHT. No one in our wing could use our hotel rooms until around 05:30the next morning. Some other guests were moved but I was not because they ruled my room habital but NOT AVAILABLE go figure. To make matters worse I turned a bad night gambling at the tables to a major loss. ( I forgot all that I know) I was tired and went "brain dead" Anyways, "all you can do is all you can do and all you can do is enough" The money did belong to the casino* and I got to play for a year with it. *(All the lost money was won at an earlier gambling trip in Las Vegas) All my expenses were covered for the six nights with the Harrahs group and I did see a couple shows.

Prior to this on the previous Saturday I got left downtown with many other stock contractors and las Vegas visitors when they decided to shut down CAT transit without warning. There was a marathon running event in the morning and the strip was blocked off. Earlier this night I was blindsided by a fellow at The Golden Nugget who cut across between craps tables...a no no and dodged a security guard but hit me from my blind side. It sent me flying and sorta dis orientated. I was throwing dice at the time and this didn't help any. I should have passed the dice but the fellow next to me was on the don't betting against me. This time I only lost what was on the table "in play" Got a comp on my next visit for another buffet dinner to be used on my trip later from the GN for my perserverence.

With all the ups and downs over the first six nights I was still within $200.00 of my beginning stake before the final nights marathon gambling time.

My daughters pot of "daddy daughter" funds had tripled on the dollar slots....playing her way.

More to come later I'm tired now. Any questions please post.

Just a note I have not returned to the GN since I was hit by the gambler evading security during the NFR but what I forgot to post is they have dropped there craps odds to 3,4,5 from 6,8.10. without changing there signs on the table. This last trip 2007 I played the lesser casinos and did well; something that normally doesn't happen with second rate dealers at the tables and novice dice handling.

....an update. Since my return from Texas trip and all the craps tables along the way including Mesquite, Laughlin, and Las Vegas in early May 2007 I have again set up my own craps practise table. What I meant to say is, like turns around the oval at a real Vegas table I throw dice intermitantly throughout the day for practise. ( a seven out and on to something else) In Canada I have frequented many different casinos in the last few months but it's NOT LAS VEGAS...Family obligations have kept me away from Nevada but I am itching to go soon. In my heart I am already there. Also, I have been offered a dinner from a member here at a downtown steak house and my mouth is watering already.

Here are my practise results since the beginning of August 2007. A normal Seven Rolls Ratio(SRR) is 6. To have a higher ratio means you have influenced the dice thrown in a positive way. Signature numbers are the ones rolled most often. The longest I rolled at at one time B 4 a 7 showing was 22 rolls. Any other questions send me a message or post below.

Grand Totals Numbers:
2 = 16
3 = 31
4 = 32
4H = 11
5 = 69
6 = 64
6H = 16
7 = 74
8 = 64
8H = 13
9 = 58
10 = 30
10H = 12
11 = 37
12 = 17

Total Rolls = 544

Signatures: 5 - 6 - 8 (numbers rolled most often in this period)

SRR: 7.35

Beside proficiency at rolling die you also have to bet strategically and increase and reduce bets at the appropriate times.

That's the skill I'm working on now.

If I get lucky and go to Las Vegas I will update this post again.

My latest S.R.R. went down to 6.89 for August practise (so far) 1148 rolls of the dice. I changed my position at the table. How I hold the die, set, and landing area. It takes time for the muscles to react to the changes. Muscle memory or brain/muscle development. It better hang in there because I got a chance to drive south to Nevada and I'm leaving with the family on September 1st. I will be in Mesquite, Laughlin, and Las Vegas. I will try not to get much attention. Thats when the casinos saddle and ride you for everything. Oh, I will be back by September 20th. Best of luck to all. Remember it's not "practise makes perfect" but "PERFECT PRACTISING" that makes you better.

I am back and did make a modest gain on my bankroll after gambling +/- for 12 nights in three different casino towns in Southern Nevada. I also won just under $500.00 playing Keno and NFL football bets. In the time I was there my

"double the stake plus expenses"

rule only happened once where I had to cash in and leave the table for the remainder of the session because I won more than double my buy in and days expenses for three adults.
