Default MGM Grand ... Great Trip!

Just came back from Vegas. Stayed at MGM Grand, which is one of my favorite hotels. The place has everything you need. I hardly even left the hotel.

Spent some time at MGM's Tabu ultra lounge. It was not that happening, but still very cool. Maybe I just went at the wrong time. Wanted to try Teatro, but did not get a chance, since it was dark when I stayed. Saw some great shows and finally caught Zumanity at NY NY, which was much better than I was expecting it to be based on the reviews. This is definitely not for kids and the best I could describe it was a cross between a classic vaudeville act and a very adult strip show (breath taking women ... and they have plenty of hunks for the ladies). I had some amazing meals at the new restaurants. The MGM buffet was fantastic with pre-shelled crab legs and drawn butter (wish more hotels had this). Another meal was at Seablue where I had wood smoked salmon that was out of this world. They also let you pick ingredients and make your own gourmet salad, which came out excellent. Ordered some lobster corndogs, which were good, but I still thought they tasted a lot like, well, "corndogs."

Another good thing about MGM is that the monorail stop is not that far of a walk to the main casino and hotel rooms (5-10 min. max). I wish I could say the same things about other hotels, where in some cases I think I would have walked less if I just skipped the monorail. Well, that is my 2 cents on my trip and I'm looking forward to going again soon.

Sure wish I could say the same thing about my last trip to the MGM Grand.
We must have just gone there at the wrong time.... ...Not my first trip there but may be my last. The room service for the few meals we ate in the room we're terrible, i.e. cold over cooked steak, cold baked potato, underrcooked hamburgers, no salt or pepper, ice melted in the tea. I could say more.
I like to stay at the tables until I get tired then go to the suite, eat and take a nap.I generally like the MGM, but after that trip I may just go back to Ceaser's Palace. At least they treated me better there for quite some time.

Although I’ve been to Vegas a number of times, each time better than the last, this trip definitely took the award for the best trip.

This trip I stayed at another MGM owned hotel the Mandalay Bay .The room was great. I had a king size bed, which was so comfortable, two closets, two sitting areas, a plasma TV, an oversized bathroom with twin vanities, a separate bathtub and shower and a TV in the bathroom as well. The view of the entire pool area wasn’t too shabby either! I had the chance to experience the shows Zumanity and KA. My favorite parts of KA were the hand shadow puppets and the fireworks at the end. Seeing people create incredible things using just their hands and fingers was incredible. Zumanity was amazing to say the least - the entire show was flawless!

The clubs and bars that I went to were Rouge and Tabu in MGM Grand, LAX in Luxor, Mix in Mandalay Bay, and Revolution in The Mirage. The service at Rouge was great since the manager there and our server really took care of us with bottle service.

The last thing we did before leaving Vegas was we ate at Rumjungle in Mandalay Bay. The place was beautiful with the tropical, jungle theme and the food was great as well. With all of the great things we did this weekend, this was definitely a Vegas trip I won’t forget!

That’s only a quick summary of the great time we had in Las Vegas, for more info and pictures of me and my friends having an awesome time in Vegas check out myawesomevegastrip.com
