Las Vegas July 4th 2011 Events
Some events and pool parties for July 4th, 2011. Please add to it if you have any more suggestions.
Caesars Palace will be shooting fireworks from atop its Roman Tower about 9:15 p.m. Sunday. The show will be visible to the public.
On Monday, Mandalay Bay will host a concert with reggae band Mystic Roots and a fireworks display at Mandalay Bay Beach. The event begins at 9 p.m. and has a $25 cover charge.
The Las Vegas Hilton also will be hosting a fireworks event Monday night. The resort will have an invitation-only viewing party at its pool, but spectators will be able to see the fireworks from near the sports book entrance, too.
FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE "SUMMER OF THE 80s CELEBRATION"
The Fremont Street Experience Summer of the 80s Celebratiion will continue with a special Faux Fireworks Display July 2nd-4th on its amazing Viva Vision Canopy. Colin Hay of "Men at Work" will ring in the 4th of July weekend on Friday, the 2nd. The evening of the 4th of July will showcase a brilliant virtual fireworks show on the Viva Vision Canopy.
THE SPRINGS PRESERVE HOSTS "RED, WHITE AND TUNES"
The Springs Preserve will be the place at 8pm (gates open at 7pm) on the evening of July 2nd, enjoying family friendly fun and patriotic music performed by the UNLV Community Band. Gates open at 7 pm with the performance from 8 pm to 10 pm. The show will be held in the Springs Amphitheater. Adults are $5; Children 6 to 17 are $2, Children 5 and under are free. Family Packs including 2 adult and 4 children are $12. Summertime goodies like ice cream, snow cones and hot dogs will be available to purchase. There will not be a fireworks show at this event. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs or blankets to enjoy the experience on our amphitheater grounds.
HENDERSON LIGHTS UP THE 4TH OF JULY NIGHT
Enjoy a night of family fun and celebrate Independence Day in Henderson, NV. Basic High School's Football Field will be the site of loads of excitement for the entire family including concessions for hot dogs, hamburgers, sno-cones and ice cream.
Entertainment starts at 6 pm with a performance by The Randy Anderson Band, the Downstrokes at 7:30 pm and Henderson's time-honored traditional fireworks show at 9 pm. Admission is free and a shuttle service is provided throughout the event, starting at 5:30 pm. Pick-up locations are at the Valley View Recreation Center, the Heritage Park Senior Facility, and the LDS Church Parking Lot at the corner of Burkholder and Racetrack. Sorry, no glass container, no pets, no alcohol, no personal fireworks (you will see plenty!), no BBQs and no weapons. Admission is free! BOULDER CITY'S 63rd ANNUAL DAMBOREE
Boulder City is offering the ultimate 4th of July celebration including parades, floats, bands, food, and fireworks. This year's theme is "Serving Our Community & Nation". The event lasts all day and is filled with loads of things for the entire family. Start off your day at 7 am with The Rotary Pancake Breakfast at Bicentennial Park located at 1100 Colorado Street. At 9 am the parade begins, traveling down Nevada hwy to Fifth Street, and then on to Broadbent Memorial Park at Avenue B & 5th Street. The Boulder City Veteran's Flying Group will soar overhead at 9:05 am. Festivities including midway booths, food, drinks, and games will be available from 10 am to 4 pm at Broadbent Memorial Park located at 1301 5th Street. At 1 pm, games and contests begin at the pool. Live music will be performed by Michele Blanchard & Heels over Head at 7 pm. The Boulder City Fireworks Show will begin at 9 pm with live entertainment continuing after the fireworks.
NIGHT OF FIRE AT THE LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Celebrate the 4th of July one day early on the 3rd, enjoying the excitement and thrills of a night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from 5 pm to 10 pm. Parents and kids will squeal when Robosaurus performs; Robosaurus stands 40 feet tall and weighs 30 tons. It belches flames 20 feet in length as it picks up and destroys junk automobiles in its path. Watch the Jet Car burn and Nascar Chargers, Bombers, Legend Cars and Super Late Model Cars zoom around the race course. The night will end in a spectacular Fireworks show at about 10pm. Adults are $19, Senior/Military are $15, Kids are $6 (5 and under are free), and a Family 4-Pak is $39. Lower ticket prices when purchased in advance. NORTH LAS VEGAS INDEPENDENCE DAY JUBILEE
This affordable, quality 4th of July event will be only $2 per person this year. The Jubilee will be located at the James Seastrand Park at 6330 Camino Eldorado on Saturday, July 2nd, from 6 pm to 9:30 pm. Doors will open at 5 pm. There will be two sets of live entertainment performed by Purple Reign and Franky Perez, and the winner of the National Anthem Contest. This year's Kids Corner and Teen Zone has been improved with new events added, food vendors and interactive sponsor booths. The night will end with a state-of-the-art fireworks display. To keep everyone safe, the following will be prohibited at the event; pets, glass bottles, portable grills and personal fireworks. Parking is limited and is available near the intersection of Revere Street and Centennial Parkway.
STAR SPANGLED SPECTACULAR AT HILLS PARK
Fireworks, live music and over-all 4th of July celebration will keep the entire family entertained this year at the Hills Park annual event located at 7101 Buffalo Drive, Las Vegas, NV. The park is a gorgeous place to gather with grills and picnic tables available for cook-outs. Admission is free. In the evening a semi-classical concert will be held, followed by an impressive fireworks display. THE SUMMERLIN 17TH ANNUAL PATRIOTIC PARADE
Southern Nevada's largest and most colorful 4th of July parade, with more than 40,000 people expected to attend, will start at 8:30 am on Monday, the 4th. The parade begins at the corner of Hillpoint Road and Hills Center Drive in the Trails Village of Summerlin, then travels south on Hills Center Drive ending on the corner of Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane. Admission is free. The parade features many kids' storybook characters, bands, performing groups and "Macy style" helium balloons. More than 60 entries will participate including traditional floats. The parade promises a day of fun for all.
THE FIVE STATIONS IN LAS VEGAS 4TH OF JULY BLAST
Continuing its tradition, The Station Casino properties will again host the largest 4th of July fireworks show in Southern Nevada. This company will also celebrate its 35th anniversary, so a spectacular display is guaranteed. The world renowned fireworks company, Grucci's of New York, will produce the fireworks display and promises to be the most thrilling nine minutes of the summer. The show will begin at 9 pm and will be seen valley-wide, shooting from the roof-tops of Aliante Station, Green Valley Ranch, Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station and the Red Rock Resort. OTHER CASINOS OFFERING COMMUNITY FIREWORKS SHOWS
The Las Vegas Hilton's fireworks show will begin at 9 pm on July 3rd and will be seen throughout the entire Las Vegas Valley. Caesars Palace will also provide the community with a sparkling show of fireworks on the 3rd scheduled to begin at 9 pm.
