Warning!!
Being regular visitors to Vegas my wife an daughter and I decided to wait till we got there to buy a camera each. We knew we would save money. We didn't count on the rip offs we were about to suffer. There was a camera store on the strip outside Harrahs and I got a quote on the camera they wanted. I suggested that we go back and try for a better deal as they both wanted one.
The following morning the price had doubled. We left but unfortunately they went shopping alone that evening and returned with the cameras they wanted from another store located just south of the Harley cafe.
I went, to ask about the camera I wanted and immediately smelt a rat I was quoted 2200 on the camera and lens I was after.
The next day I bought it elsewhere for 1100.
The thing these two shops have in common were they are both owned by the same person and neither displays prices on its goods.
According to local camera shops they are well known for scamming tourists. The lesson is obvious if it hasn't got a price label something's wrong.
