Lightbulb Asking for only one food plate for 2 people

Do las vegas resturants (not buffets) frown apon two people asking to share a maincourse food item??? Just the portion are so darn huge.... anybody... if you have any ideas let me know please...

some charge an extra $5.00 a plate. Some charge for "doggie bags" too.
