Thumbs up Trip

Hello!
I went on vacation to Las Vegas in February for a week and I am going back for a week in July. We have some advice for people who have never been to Las Vegas!

1) Any tickets you want to buy, check with Tix4Tonite. They have a listing of tickets daily and you end up paying half off for each ticket. Awesome deals. We got discounted tickets for Bodies, Tournament of the Kings, Howie Mandel and so forth. When we go back we are going to go see a Cirque de Soleil which they had tickets for.

2) Spend some time downtown at Fremont St Experience. It is absolutely fantastic at night. They had a guy with amazing talent doing spray painted pictures, they had the light show, plenty of shops, we saw Cris Angel, the lights were beautiful. If you get hungry they have plenty of food/buffets, etc. There was a Mcdonalds in one casino, and we happened to like a casino called Mermaids. They had a big beef hotdog for $1, amongst other treats and fries and drinks for $1. Probably much better than some of the buffets we dined at.

3) If you are walking around during the day, or even at night, BEWARE of the timeshare haunts. Everyone, Everywhere wants to sell you a timeshare. If you want one, it's worth seeing one. If you don't, our good excuse was that we were leaving in about 2 hours and had a few things we wanted to see before we left. They didn't bother us when we told them that.

4) Buy the 24 hr pass for the deuce. It's $5 and it's worth it. If you don't have a car that is. We bought the 24 hour pass and it brought us back and forth from the excalibur to fremont to circus circus to the mgm, etc... But, just to let you know, allow yourself plenty of time to get from place to place as it gets crowded at certain times of the day.

5) Doesn't matter where you stay to be honest, because you are only there to sleep. I paid almost 80/night at a hotel and I could have stayed on elsewhere for 30/night and been just as happy because the rooms are all the same.

I love Las Vegas and would love to live out there one day *and no, I'm not a gambler, I just love the weather and the feel of it all*. I highly recommend anyone to go out there to visit at least once in their life. What an experience!

I would add to this if you are gaming always sign up and use your casino gambling cards. A little tracking may save you the cost of a room next trip.
