Default Walking on the Strip

I have had a regime to walk from downtown (Fremont St.) to the Stratosphere every afternoon for exercise. On this last trip a policeman volunteered the following: each day visitors are robbed in broad daylight by undesireables who pop out of doorways of closed business' where you walk. Some just lose their wallet some get assaulted and worse.

Thought everyone should know

Hey Bossman

When we are in Vegas I also enjoy taking walks but I start at M.G.M. and go to the Venetian and back to the Paris where we normally stay.

Unhappy Re: Walking on the Strip

I onced walked for the sahara hotel to Maryland Parkway down Sahara ave. A cop stopped me and asked if I had a death wish.... It was 2pm on a wednesday. He told me a guy was shot in his car the night before not one block from where I stood talking to him. Opened my eyes.. He said your mostly safe to walk on the strip but once off the strip you are taking your chances.
