Default Fourth of July in Vegas -Special attractions?

I love the excitement and rush of gambling. I play online, and I thought it would be a good idea to take a vacation next week with the hubby and maybe the kids. Any special Independence day events in LAs Vegas?

Any special activities or tournaments planned for July 4th? Any special casino tournaments?
What is there for kids to do there next week?

Is it a good time to go to Vegas, or should I stay home and gamble online on Juky 4th?

Actually if you're taking kids may I suggest for funtimes go to Laughlin. It is on the Colorado River 90 miles approx south of LasVegas and is more kid friendly. They also have special activities during this next weekend.

I second Bossman. Laughlin is on the Colorado River. You can travel inexpensively between most of the casinos on the river. Adults can gamble and there is more open spaces for kids. There is a riverwalk by land. 4th of July fireworks. A good place for a family to vacation. You can jetski, take river tours, in some places fish, You can see the fish swimming in the water at the many docks. It is normally 5-10 degrees warmer than Vegas and it is substantially less expensive.
