Is the list of topics the only ones allowed or can you add your own? That is question #1. Myself, I have been a recreational gambler for over 30 years but mostly only in Southern Nevada. There are many casinos in Alberta but they either short change payouts compared to Las Vegas when you win. A Vegas payout is normally twice as large on slots for the same risk dollars. I am a craps player. My best day 14 years ago now) I took $500.00 to almost $10,000.00 but normally I just hold my own and break even factoring in comps and free gifts. It's a great hobby where I have met many friends.

You are welcome and encouraged to suggest a new topic. We can then create it for you if we feel there is a wide enough interest. We already have a gambling section, so that would a good place to post gambling related content. When you won big in craps, what type of bets did you make?

Well I started with a $5.00 pass line and in those days double odds were all that was available. I took the next number and when it immediately repeated. I took one more number as a come bet. Next thing I know I am repeating numbers so I decided to immediately keep making come bets and add $5.00 to each win. Well when the seven out finally came all point numbers had a minimum of $75.00 flat bet and $ 150.00 odds. I was smart enough to color up and walk. I have a long version of this story somewheres if anyone is interested.

LV Direct a new thread for what it's worth.
"Las Vegas Alternatives" as I have read many of these threads I see many that are looking at ways to extend stays without over extending the cost. Also travelers where they want "kid friendly" casinos. Perhaps a thread where we could make suggestions of other hotels within a couple hours drive like Mesquite, Primm, and Laughlin? Let me know and I will start a new thread/post. |

Remember those "darn" kids grow up and become adults, then they learn to vote, run the country and eventually come visit us in the old folks home.....
