ive gone to las vegas for the last 25 yrs back when by virtue of playing in at any given casino youd get a free buffet but no more those bull slot cards that entice you to play longer or more then you normaly would you pay dearly for what you get, and thats not all the room prices have gone up to a point i dont understand how a family can afford to go any longer, think about the cost of getting there, the cost of entertainment, meals you dont have a lot left for gambling, and casino,s can deny it all they want but ive gone enough yrs to have seen the change, for yrs i won almost every yr i went, slowly they chnged the machines or tightened them up to a point its near impossible to win anything, fo 20 yrs i did fantastic at the slots last 5 yrs nothing what does that tell you, and the whales get treated like royalty whillle they bring in 20% of any caino,s profit and slot players account for 80% and what do we get a slot card with your adress so they send you mail to come on come again, i thank the state i live in they have gambling here and have done very well right here at home las vegas is pricing themselves out of customers i dont recomend going there, one of the smaller indian casino,s is a better bet

Hello, I agree with you, you have very valid points. I often hear stories from my parents generation of how cheap food was they use to win all the time. A lot has changed and only going to get worse, These new multi billion dollar casinos coming in are going to change the face of "Las Vegas". It's up to the casino if they are going to cater to the average gamber of if they are going try to stretch right to the wallet of the Whale.... It should be interesting to see what happens in the near future. Now, Vegas still has cheap food, drinks and lodging.. but from what I have seen.... The closer to the middle of the strip the more expensive it is and the less likely to cater to the low roller, The further you get away the cheaper and catering more to the low roller than the High roller. For example check out Palace Station, Cheap but great Buffets, cheap stay (clean and comfortable), more benefits and freebies (free shuttle to airport and strip). I do want to comment on the slots... You could say I frequent Vegas a bit (haha), I have noticed something more as time goes on. I never see anyone win anymore. Slots are VERY slow monday to wednesday, thurdsay and friday busier, the the weekend is a zoo. I don't understand why they don't/won't cater to the low rollers with benefits and perks more during these lower times....

I wonder if the lower Vegas payouts have anything to do with the decline of Reno. It used to be extremely easy to get a vacation package to Reno, but not anymore. Meanwhile, Vegas has more packages. In Reno, I could win more and pay less. Nevada must be pulling the strings. The end result is that I travel less, even though I'd love to go to Vegas or Reno annually. Can't afford it anymore. Sigh.

Very True Spock.... You ever price a trip to Atlantic City....... WHAT A JOKE!!! I priced a trip (Flight and Hotel) to Atlantic City from Buffalo $1165.00 -- Same trip to Vegas(flight and hotel) (same star rating on hotels) $315.00, figure out that one...
