We had a big discussion concerning the various reasons, why
someone may be ejected from a casino. Last night, while watching the travel channel, they had a repeat of a previous show. They interviewed the head of security at the Palms, Las Vegas He stated to the camera, that a casino may escort someone from the property "for any reason whatsoever", even if the only reason is the person is winning too much money. Win too much at the table? Under the law, they can kick you out. They don't like how you varying your bets up and down? They can kick you out. According to the head of security, casinos are considered some type of "private accomodation" under the law and you are on the property at the invitation of the casino. I just thought some guys with big mouths and small brains would like to know how the law works in Nevada. JP This was sent to me and I thought I would put this thread up for discussion. So comments please. Last edited by Bossman : 09-10-2006 at 08:40 AM. |

I guess that private businesses can choose whichever customers they will allow in their place. Of course, kicking out someone unfairly, eg. disabled, muslim, black, etc. would cause a negative publicity furor.

not much of a reaction or complaint by the public (in a Nevada casino) if you are an minority and asked to leave.

Maybe it is best that we don't know what goes on behind the scenes, kind of like not knowing what's in sausage.
I just hope that there is very little negative going on. |
